Message from Executive Director

We're Going Green!

Tree
These days you hear a lot about the ever growing importance conserving natural resources both at home and at work. Here at the Healing Place we have decided to do our part as well. There are a number of green projects that are in process and we are excited about the future possibilities to save time, money and resources.

Executive Director - Dennis Parnell One of the most exciting projects we are working on currently is the addition of solar panels at the men’s facility. This initiative which is being done in partnership with Holocene, LLC, will reduce our hot water bills and fix our natural gas prices into the foreseeable future. The women’s facility is under study now and we are hoping that the site will be suitable for this venture as well. We are also collecting water for irrigation from our roofs, recycling aluminum and other scrap metals, composting kitchen waste, growing “victory gardens”, using water and energy efficient fixtures and appliances, and saving paper by digitizing all our files and important documents.

Accepting responsibility is the very core value of our mission and “going green” fits well with our overall philosophy. In reality, we are recycling our most precious resources, our fellow men and women. We hope you will join us with your own efforts at home. We wish a very happy and safe holiday season and a fantastic New Year filled with good health and the fulfillment of dreams!

Dennis Parnell
Executive Director
